We are thrilled to announce that Vancouver, BC, Canada's Jiffy Marx has joined the SLN roster! For those in the know, Jiffy is also a member of Autogramm, a band that is no stranger to SLN.
Jiffy Marx was born in the winter of 1976 alongside the
Ramones’ first album and the Damned’s “New Rose”. Mr. Marx has toured all over
North America and Europe with a kitchen sink of bands such as Black Rice, Blood
Meridian, Hard Drugs, Jiffy Marker and most recently Canadian new wave
revivalists Autogramm (told ya so!). On hiatus from touring and while chipping away at
Autogramm’s sophomore album, Marx took a weekend to visit his pals from
Seattle’s Bread & Butter. Over the course of 36 hours they managed to drink
a shit load of beer, eat a ton of peanut butter pretzels and track Jiffy’s
first solo 45rpm single. “She’s My Witch / Warning Sign”, a double A-sider,
sounds like classic 70s; more punk than Big Star and more pop than Buzzcocks.
The release date for the 7" and digital is 11/20/20. Pre-orders for the 7" are up in our WEB STORE (there are limited picture sleeve editions and standard gold company sleeve editions, all on randomly mixed color vinyl), plus you can hear 'She's My Witch' via our SNAPPY LITTLE SAMPLER on bandcamp.

ZEPHR began on a whim between three buddies, much like many other
bands. But then that thing happened where it all clicked and they quickly
became more than the sum of their parts. Each member contributes passion and
ability in unison, and the result is nothing short of joy. You can hear it in
their songs, and you can see it in their smiles when they play. On their debut
full length, “Don’t Worry About It,” ZEPHR presents the listener with lean,
melodic, punk rock tunes essenced with the earworms of powerpop, and the
scrappiness of early 90’s indie rock. The record is both anthemic and intimate.
It is gruff and also tender. Ultimately, it is something special. And we can
all use a little more “special” in our lives right now. "Don't Worry About It" is set to hit the streets on 11/13/20 and you can pre-order the vinyl LP in our WEB STORE right now (check out the limited art print edition!). There are also cool new ZEPHR t-shirts, whiskey tumblers and koozies, plus an LP & Merchandise Super Saver Mega Bundle. ZEPHR just released a new single from the album, 'Casey', today. It's on our BANDCAMP as a digital single and also on our sampler, plus it's on ZEPHR's own bandcamp too. 'Casey' is also on all the other digital/streaming spots of the modern age.
