Empty Palace At 7 Inches Blog!

Empty Palace just got a killer review of their debut 7" EP over at the 7 Inches blog!  Lay eyes on it HERE.  We'd like to thank Jason for his incredibly sophisticated ear and penchant for excellent writing.  It's spot on... just like Empty Palace!  Oh, and as a heads up, the band has been diligently working on an album.  We hope to have some news on that pretty dang soon.

SLN-114 Has Smash-Landed!

The brand new double A-sided Single from Friends Of Cesar Romero, "The Hold b/w Teisco Telstar Stomp", is now here and ready to spin endlessly!  J. Waylon Miller has produced two more garage-pop gems and we're pleased as punch to bring them to you via our favorite format, the 7" Single.  The platter spins at 45 RPM and comes with a download code.  But wait!  We've changed it up a little.  The first 100 copies are a limited "Jukebox Edition" on clear vinyl in a hand stamped and numbered old-timey dust sleeve, plus a handsome jukebox card is included.  How cool is that?!  The standard edition comes on classic black vinyl in our freshly
spruced up gold company sleeve.  Order yourself a copy or two at out store HERE.  For you digi-peeps, you can get the tunes directly through our bandcamp HERE.  You can also preview a track on our sampler to the left.  If you pre-ordered the record through the band, your copies are hurtling towards you via mail any day now.  They'll also be hitting record stores and distros shortly.  In case you can't get enough FOCR, check out this great interview J. Waylon did in the Argus Leader.  Now get rocking already!  Pressing Info: 100 Jukebox Edition 7"s on clear vinyl with hand stamped/numbered sleeves and a jukebox card, 200 standard edition 7"s on black vinyl in a gold company sleeve.  Download code included.

7 Inches Podcast And A Big Early Spring!

Our fearless leader Chuck jabber jawed with the kind folks over at 7 Inches Podcast this past week about all things SLN.  See how many times he says "Um" and "Uh" right HERE.  We love 7 Inches Blog and the podcast is a nice addition to their world.  Thanks to Jason and Darren!  Coming up later this week is the big Snappy Little Numbers Showcase (3/7 at Sidewinder in Denver).  It's the first official showcase and serves as the release party for "Double Cassingle" by Shining Wires.  It's already available through us and will roll out to the rest of the world after the show.  Up next, we have a trifecta of hottt platters set to steamroll your ear canals.  We're getting back to our 7" roots!  First, Friends Of Cesar Romero will be dropping "The Hold b/w Teisco Telstar Stomp" as a 7" 45 RPM Single.  The first 100 copies will be a Limited Jukebox Edition.  More on that soon.  Shortly after that slab o' wax we have a couple of post-punk scorchers.  Glass Hits and new addition Accordion Crimes will team up for a split 7" EP.  Hot on their heels is another newbie issuing their first 7" Single, Mako 1972.  We'll introduce you to all the fresh faces in the near future.  For now, get your turntables tuned up and ready!

Two New Releases Coming Soon! Glass Hits Contest!

Let's get 2014 going!  Next up on the release schedule is a Double Cassingle by Denver's own Shining Wires, due out late winter.  You can check out a track on our updated sampler to the left, or download the whole sampler HERE for free.  Fans of smart pop-punk will dig!  Start warming up your voices now, every tune is a sing-a-long toe-tapper.  Around the same time will be a fresh Single from garage stomp neo-legends, Friends Of Cesar Romero.  It's fitting that they'll usher back in our favorite format, the 7" 45 vinyl single!  Here's something cool to close out this update: for you Instagram types, go find @purgeb4ubinge and enter the contest for a free copy of the Glass Hits limited edition version of their "Better Never Than Late" LP.  You know, the rad clear/black split color vinyl with special screened/stamped sleeves one that you should have ordered already!  Just find the contest pic before February 1st, then repost and tag #glasshits and #snappylittlenumbers. Very cool!  Don't sleep on this record fans, supplies are dwindling on the limited edition batch.  OK, type at y'all soon!

Hello 2014 And Welcome Suspect Press!

We hope our loyal followers are having a radical 2014 so far.  Some of our friends sure are.  A few buddies of ours started a new zine here in Denver called Suspect Press in the closing days of 2013.  It's a print zine for cryin' out loud!  We like that a lot.  They also have a blog that ties in to the print version HERE.  Check 'em out and put 'em on your faves list for 2014.  While you're cruising the blog, check out the great reviews on the summer 7"ers from SPELLS and The Knew.  Suspect Press clearly has excellent taste and we thank them for that.
