Great New LP's Just Added To The Distro!

We're continuing to add to our Snappy Little Distro!  Aside from already having records from such fantastic labels as Dirtnap, Grave Mistake, Strictly No Capital Letters, Paco Garden etc... we've just added a slew of LP's courtesy of Midwest titans Dead Beat Records.  Head over to our Store and check out the offerings from TRMRS, Uzi Rash, Dead Germans (ex-Digital Leather/Brimstone Howl) and many more.  We plan to keep building the distro and our shipping prices are still capped at $3.50 per order.  What a deal!

Bandcamp Revamp: All Our Releases, More Titles In The Archives!

We just revamped our bandcamp site to include digital versions of all our releases!  While we are big vinyl fans and think lots of you are too, we wanted to be able to offer our titles for download at very friendly pricing.  Our records will continue to come with download codes, but if you just want the tunes they're just a click away!  While we were at it, we posted more true Denver classics in the Snappy Little Archives/Not Bad Historical Preservation Society.  After many inquiries, "Put 'Er There" from Denver legends Qualm is finally available digitally.  Also included is the self-titled EP by Still Left Standing and "Dead Scene" by The Messyhairs.  Those two were originally released by our old pal Johnny via his Seven Lucky Records imprint.  We also posted the first Mustangs And Madras EP.  See and hear all the recent doings HERE.  In the coming months we're going to keep going and get some Paco Garden Records titles up too.  Thanks-a-plenty folks, talk at y'all later!

New Records In The Distro!

You may have noticed that we created a Snappy Little Store over the summer. Part of the store includes our Snappy Little Distro and we've slowly been adding titles. The latest batch warrants a post though. We have finally added some 7"s from one of Denver's most legendary labels, Paco Garden Records! Paco Garden was a Denver fixture throughout most of the 90's and early 00's and released records by some fantastic bands like Four! and The Messyhairs. Not Bad World Industries inherited the catalog from pal and PG owner Dave awhile back and now we have what's left. Cruise on over to the store and pick out an old fave to catch up on! We've also printed off a round of new posters and flyers featuring the Snappy Little Numbers catalog. We'll toss in a cool full-color flyer with any order as well as some of the usual extras we like to throw on top of an order before we seal and ship. It's always a good time for record buyin' and we appreciate it when you buy from us!

Awesome New Addition To The Archives!

Fresh up in the Snappy Little Archives is a gem of a release.  "Caution:Bang" is the final recording from Denver's late, great Mustangs And Madras.  Go HERE to check it out.  The four tunes were originally recorded in 2010 for a potential split with another band on their then-label, Latest Flame. It didn't materialize, 'Stangs broke up and these tunes are now seeing the light of day as a digi-EP through our Archives.  Members have gone on to Native Daughters and Pink Hawks among other things.  Classic stuff from a great band!

New Stuff On The Horizon!

The logo to the right serves as a little hint about what's coming up later this year.  25 Rifles and Glass Hits will be doing a split 7" EP together and we are quite excited.  25 Rifles issued their first 7" EP through us last year to rave reviews and we are totally psyched to welcome Denver's post-punk powerhouse Glass Hits to our roster of stars.  Check out their track on our widget and sampler.  More info on the split later on.  In other news, we've added the Snappy Little Store for your shopping needs and it includes our Snappy Little Distro to boot.  Browse around and pick up a little something if you feel like it.  Finally, Hooper has been in the studio recording new material.  We're not sure what it will yield, but we're sure it will be rad and we hope to be involved in some sort of stellar release.  Until next time folks!

Friends Of Cesar Romero Single On The Styrofoam Drone!

"Red Headed Strangler b/w Tammys Of Tomorrow" by Friends Of Cesar Romero is the latest 7" featured on one of our very favorite music blogs, The Styrofoam Drone.  Hop on over to check out the review.  The direct link is HERE.  You might note further down in the review that J. Waylon's 'johnny girl' falsetto on "Tammys Of Tomorrow" was highly effective.  Much appreciation to Zac for the continued support and good taste!  We'd also like to thank everyone that has made the FOCR single such a success thus far.  We've got a couple records in the works for this Fall but we'll have to wait a bit before we can share our plans.  Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer!

SLN-105 Has Bopped It's Way Here!

With the shake of a tambourine and a quake of the pelvis, our 1st single of 2012 is now out!  "Red Headed Strangler b/w Tammys Of Tomorrow" by Friends Of Cesar Romero cranks on any functional turntable at 45 RPM.  It is of course on 7" vinyl and comes with a download code, all in our highly collectable gold company sleeve.  You can order one (or two or three...) from us right now!  They'll be popping up in shops and distros shortly.  FOCR have devolved the electric-guitar beat-combo into a thing of pants-shitting Neanderthal beauty. Pounding, menacing, snarling, and unaccustomed to flowery futuristic bullshit, the gang’s anthemic onslaught is ready to biff-bang-pow its way into your heart. Be sure to catch them on tour right now.  For our Denver neighbors, come down to the good ol' Loose (Lost) Lake on Friday 7/27 for their Rocky Mountain debut and Record Release Party!  Pressing Info: 300 on randomly mixed color vinyl

Razorcake Double-Digs The Manxx!

The punk rock print and web institution know as Razorcake recently featured not one, but two bitchin' reviews of the "Messin' Around" single by The Manxx.  We already know that every record we release is a smash, but it's quite nice when others take notice.  The review by contributor Bryan Static can be found HERE, while the review by super-punk-rock-famous contributor Rev Norb (Boris The Sprinkler anyone?) can be found HERE.  Thanks Razorcakers!

Another New Digi-Single Hits The Archives!

"Silver Ceiling" is a new digi-single by a new act, On Holiday.  Filed under Modern Classics, Snappy Little Archives is branching out to include digi-only releases by current artists.  Jenny Calgary and Charlie Continental make up the duo that is On Holiday.  They occasionally gather to dabble in lo-fi electro-pop-whatever and "Silver Ceiling" is the earliest result.  Head HERE to check it out.  You might notice there isn't a song called Silver Ceiling.  We think that might be On Holiday's "thing" when naming releases.  We like it.  The trusty crew at SLN will be sure to holler when we have another Modern Classic to share.  iMuchas Gracias!
