Charlie Continental Jangles A New Jingle!

Charlie Continental is back at it with the jingles!  Werewolf Radar is a spooooky podcast that asked him to write them a tune for their relaunch which is slated for 5/27/19 and he was happy to oblige.  It's called "Come Howl With Us" and there are 2 versions, a full and an edit.  You can hear both and send a tip (if ya wanna, don't gotta!) on our bandcamp page HERE.  We'll figure out some sort of physical release at some point too.  Thanks for listening!

Foxhall Stacks Joins The Roster!

We are pleased to welcome Washington DC’s Foxhall Stacks to the SLN family!  Bill Barbot (Jawbox, Burning Airlines), Jim Spellman (The High-Back Chairs, Velocity Girl), Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Bad Religion) and Peter Moffett (Government Issue, Burning Airlines) comprise the power-pop quartet. Their first release, “Copy of a Copy of a Copy of a Copy” will be on special edition cassingle, only available at Jawbox ‘An Impartial Overview’ tour stops as Bill rocks and rolls with his past group. Their debut LP, "The Coming Collapse" will follow later this year.  We're pretty excited over here at SLNHQ!  More info to come...

Charlie Continental & Heaty Beat Team Up For A Super-Smoot Remix Track & Custom Record!

That's right!  Charlie Continental and YouTube sensation Heaty Beat have teamed up to bring us the "Quit Wastin' My Time (Smoot High Or Die Remix)" track.  The digital version is OUT NOW!  This is a donation-based release, available through our bandcamp site or the Charlie Continental bandcamp site.  Qualifying donations will receive a custom made stereo lathe cut 7" FOR FREE!  Read on for more details...

"Quit Wastin' My Time (Smoot High Or Die Remix)" is a collaboration between Charlie Continental and Heaty Beat on the theme song for the truTV show Those Who Can't.  

Heaty Beat is a Those Who Can't superfan, high school student, talented rapper and burgeoning producer.  All the proceeds generated from fan donations for this track will go directly to Heaty Beat so she can continue to build her home recording setup.  

As an added bonus, any individuals that make a donation of $12 and up between 4/23/19-5/7/19 will receive a custom made, limited edition, hand numbered, stereo lathe cut clear 7" vinyl record of this track shipped to them for free! (Custom records will ship in late June-early July 2019)

Mayday Mayday! Two Brand New Cassettes En Route!

We are keeping the release train rolling this spring!  May 31 will see the release of two new EPs in the always trusty cassette format.  First up, Lightning Cult will bring us "EP2: Ether Waves".  Lightning Cult is a project that hails from Santa Fe, NM and features Mike Marchant and Luke Carr.  Longtime Denver-ites will recognize Marchant from his time in countless top acts while he was a mile high resident from 2007-2012.  After 2012, Marchant relocated to New Mexico where he beat a cancer diagnosis and returned to his musical roots in 2018 with Carr.  "EP1: Burner" put the group on the sonic map and will also be included as a bonus to our pressing of EP2.  Next up, but no less smashing, The Half Hearts will be hitting us with their debut S/T EP.  The Half Hearts are a brand new duo from Denver, CO made up of Jason Heller and Karen Walton.  Heller has been a fixture of the underground music scene in Denver since the mid 90's and his credits include bands like Crestfallen, The Blue Ontario, Red Cloud West, The Fire Drills, 25 Rifles and Weathered Statues.  Walton rounds out the combo and drives the engine with her rapid-fire drumming.  You can preview singles from each band on our bandcamp sampler right now!

There's No Escaping SLN-150!

SLN-151 Offers A Plethora Of Standout Tracks!

The Classic SLN 45 Makes Its Return With Giggly Boys!

The concept that started it all is coming back!  Brooklyn, NY garage-punk darlings Giggly Boys are kicking off a new batch of classic SLN singles in our gold company sleeve.  "Another Close Call b/w Dead Again" will be released on April 24, 2019 on random mixed color vinyl 7" in that iconic gold sleeve along with a download code.  The Giggly Boys are playing a string of East Coast dates in April, leading up to their hometown record release show.  They'll have copies of the new 7" at all their April shows, so if you live in a town they're hitting, go see them and be among the early birds to grab the new slab o' wax before the rest of the world can!  Pre-orders are up in our store HERE and you can preview a track on our bandcamp sampler.

Next Up Are New 12"s From BlackDots And Bad Year!

We are keeping the 2019 release train rolling over here!  First, long running Denver quartet BlackDots will be releasing their brand new 12", "Everything Has Gotta Change" on 3/30/19.  The single sided 12" comes on translucent orange vinyl and features 8 tracks on the A side with a custom screened B side.  BlackDots is playing a release show in Denver at Seventh Circle on March 30 to celebrate.  Pre-orders are up in our store HERE and you can check out a track on our bandcamp sampler.  Hot on the heels of that one, Bad Year will similarly be issuing a brand new 12" called "My Escape" on 4/5/19.  The single sided 12" comes on opaque white vinyl and features 6 tracks on the A side, plus a custom screened B side with 3 different color options.  Also, for the super collectors out there, 10 copies of the record will come with a set of 4 custom made action figures!  How cool is that?!  Bad Year will play a release show while supporting the legendary Down By Law at Streets Denver on April 5 in, you guessed it, Denver.  Pre-orders are up in our store HERE and they have a fresh track on our bandcamp sampler.  Stay tuned for more killer releases coming your way this year!
